ABC Unveils Fall Premiere Dates For "Grey's Anatomy," "Modern Family"
ABC has announced the Fall premiere dates for some of the most popular shows returning for the 2010-2011 season. Among the shows given their return date are “Modern Family,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” and “Dancing with the Stars.” “Dancing with the Stars” returns on Monday, September 20 at 8pm. It’ll also air a special performance show on Tuesday, September 21 at 8pm, before the results show takes its regular time slots on Tuesdays at 9pm following the new superhero series “No Ordinary Family” starring Michael Chiklis and Julie Benz, which premieres Tuesday, September 28. “Castle” also makes its return on Monday, September 20, at 10pm following “Dancing with the Stars.” The new crime drama “Detroit 1-8-7” premieres Tuesday, September 21 following the special “Dancing with the Stars” performance show. On Wednesday, September 22, the hit comedies “The Middle, “Modern Family,” and “Cougar Town” all return for their second seasons. Meanwhile “Better With You,” the only new comedy added to their line-up and starring JoAnna Garcia (“Privileged”), premieres in the 8:30pm time slot. Legal drama “The Whole Truth,” starring Maura Tierney, premieres at 10pm. ABC’s documentary-style high school reunion show “My Generation” premieres Thursday, September 23 at 8pm, followed by the premieres of “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Private Practice.” Sunday, September 26 sees the new season premieres of “America’s Funniest Home Videos,” “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” “Desperate Housewives,” and “Brothers & Sisters.” Premiere dates for Fall series “Body of Proof” and “Secret Millionaire” will be announced at a later time.
