Kate Gosselin Has A Cheating Past

Posted in: Coffee Talk by newsdesk on June 5, 2024

Kate Gosselin was engaged before and her ex isn’t holding his tongue. Another man almost married Kate Gosselin. According to Star magazine, Adam Miller from Kutztown, Pennsylvania was engaged to Kate when she was just 21-years old. The pair were barely out of high school when they met and Kate fell for Miller’s flashy car and deep pockets. “I spoiled Kate with gifts, like a diamond bracelet and a gold locket, and she loved that,” he said in a world-exclusive interview. “I think one of the main reasons she liked me is that I had so much money flowing.” Read: Why It’s Better To Marry For Money So is the factory worker sorry he let this one slip away? Not quite. Now that he gets to watch Kate’s married life play out on screen, the ex-fiancé is glad he didn’t end up marrying the money-hungry reality star. In fact, he says he saw this coming from a mile away. “She hooked up with some guy in a Corvette,” said Miller referring to the couple’s broken engagement. “She was always chasing the money.” So what does Adam Miller think of Kate’s new bikini body? “We’d eat mostly hamburgers, fries, Cheetos,” he said explaining their typical date night behavior. And so it seems some things about Kate Gosselin are just how Adam remembers them and some, well, let’s say they’ve had a bit of work done.

Yay! This is the part of “So You Think You Can Dance” where I’m going to start telling people to watch. I tried getting my parents to watch the show last season, but they lost interest during auditions, which was a shame, but this season I won’t make that mistake. The best part of the show is watching dancers learn and perform new genres and with new partners week to week. It’s seeing professionals being pushed to their limit and performing at their peak — it’s the particular challenge and mix of personalities that makes it such good TV. Seeing a ballet dancer dance ballet is one thing but seeing a ballet dancer dance hip hop with a Broadway dancer — that’s awesome. For now I don’t have too many thoughts on the Top 20 except for a few superficial observations. I’m really glad that Kuponohi’ipoi Aweau chose to go by “Kupono,” for my own selfish typing reasons. I also think it’s funny that after he (wisely) shaved off his floppy mohawk, he’d be revealed to be slightly thinning on top. I think judge Mary Murphy was way over the top saying “I’m not going to sit and listen to this crap” after Mia Michaels and Lil C iterated their problems with Brandon Bryant. Mia was extra harsh, sure, but Lil C hadn’t said much more than “I’m not that impressed” before Mary snapped on him in near-tears. Mary’s outburst was especially silly since Brandon did make it into the Top 20. For the record, I fall between Lil C and Mia on Brandon — his dancing certainly failed to make me weep the way it did Mary, but I can’t honestly say I perceived any attitude from him. I also wasn’t very surprised that popper/locker Phillip Shabib made it to the Top 20 — not many dancers don’t even have to try out, plus he represents everything the show is about — a guy obviously connected to one (particularly modern) genre who can excel in others and who can be a bit of a clown onstage. Finally, was I the only one confused until nearly the last moment about exactly which one of the Kasprzak “Broadway” brothers made it through? A) I was unclear which one was Ryan and which one was Evan and B) Nigel had such nice things to say to Ryan (the bald one who did NOT make the Top 20), including that he shouldn’t cover up his pate all the time, so it was confusing whether he was giving Ryan advice for the show or for the future. I was slightly disappointed with the selection, I think because the show did go with the slightly more telegenic choice, and I always root for the baldy. Even if Ryan and his whoopee cushion won’t be in the Top 20, it seems like another eclectic group and I’m excited to see it go to work. Tell your friends and family: Next week is the time to tune in to “So You Think You Can Dance.”

Gwyneth Paltrow Talks Beauty on Goop.com

Posted in: Gossip by newsdesk on June 5, 2024

Gwyneth Paltrow’s website, Goop.com, has been a bit controversial from the start. But isn’t it hard to ignore beauty advice that’s coming from someone so beautiful? Gwyneth says she started Goop.com because, “I felt like I had a lot of really useful information that I was privileged enough to get, because I have this amazing, super, fortunate life.” So, some of her advice is a bit too privileged, pushing stuff that the average folk could never afford, but since she’s such a beauty herself, we figured we’d listen to some of her beauty advice. Plus, she knows some pretty big names when it comes to beauty. Here’s beauty advice that people like us can use. Celebrity makeup artist Patty Prema Dubroff’s best advice: - Oatmeal and honey can work as a scrub to soften skin.
- To reduce the puffiness of morning eyes, place either a chilled spoon on the eye area or soak cotton pads with milk and rest on the eye area. Celebrity hairstylist Harry Josh’s best advice: - Spray dry shampoo on your roots and greasy parts of your hair if you wake up without time to shower. - Use a half cup of olive oil on your hair to get rid of frizziness. Keep olive oil on hair as long as possible and go out in the sun if possible (the heat makes it more effective). Wash it out and your hair will be much softer. Men’s artist Cheri Keating’s best advice for men: - For a more awake appearance use YSL L’homme Radiant Touch for Men. It’s a moisturizer for under the eyes with the slightest hint of color to subtly brighten the area. - For men who experience bumps after shaving, try exfoliating with a gentle scrub prior to shaving with hot/warm water. Also, try using a conditioner instead of shaving cream Take from it what you will, but it can’t be said that Gwyneth doesn’t offer anything of use on Goop.com. She’s got friends in high places and knows a thing or two herself.

Director insists Carradine death is no suicide

Posted in: Film by newsdesk on June 5, 2024

Actor David Carradine, a born seeker and cult idol who broke through as the willing student called “grasshopper” in the 1970s TV series “Kung Fu” and decades later as leader of an assassin squad in “Kill Bill,” was found dead today in Thailand. Police said he appeared to have hanged himself. The officer responsible for investigating the death, Lt. Teerapop Luanseng, said the 72-year-old actor had been staying in a suite at the luxury Swissotel Nai Lert Park Hotel. “I can confirm that we found his body, naked, hanging in the closet,” Teerapop said. He said police suspected suicide. A spokesman for the U.S. Embassy, Michael Turner, said the embassy was informed by Thai authorities that Carradine died either late Wednesday or early Thursday. “We send our heartfelt condolences to his family and his loved ones,” he said. Carradine came from an acting family. His father, John, made a career playing creepy, eccentric characters in film and on stage. His brothers Keith, Robert and Bruce also became actors. Actress Martha Plimpton is Keith Carradine’s daughter. “My Uncle David was a brilliantly talented, fiercely intelligent and generous man. He was the nexus of our family in so many ways, and drew us together over the years and kept us connected,” Plimpton said Thursday. Carradine was “in good spirits” when he left the U.S. for Thailand on May 29 to work on the movie “Stretch,” said Tiffany Smith of Binder & Associates, his managers. “David was excited to do it and excited to be a part of it,” she said by phone from Beverly Hills, noting that Carradine was the sole featured American in the movie, whose other top cast members were French and Chinese. “When he was on a set he was in heaven.” Filming on the thriller by French director Charles de Meaux began Tuesday, she said, adding that the crew was devastated by Carradine’s death and did not wish to speak publicly about it for the time being. “It is shocking to me that he is no longer with us,” said Michael Madsen, who played an assassin in “Kill Bill.” “I have so many great memories of David that I wouldn’t even know where to begin,” he said. “He has a very special place in my heart.” The Web site of the Thai newspaper The Nation said Carradine could not be contacted after he failed to appear for a meal with the rest of the film crew on Wednesday, and that his body was found by a hotel maid Thursday morning. It said a preliminary police investigation found that he had hanged himself with a cord used with the suite’s curtains and that there was no sign that he had been assaulted. Police said Carradine’s body was taken to a hospital for an autopsy that would be done Friday.

Carradine appeared in more than 100 feature films with such directors as Martin Scorsese, Ingmar Bergman and Hal Ashby. One of his early film roles was as folk singer Woody Guthrie in Ashby’s 1976 biopic, “Bound for Glory.” But he was best known for his role as Kwai Chang Caine, a Shaolin priest traveling the 1800s American frontier West in the TV series “Kung Fu,” which aired in 1972-75. “I wasn’t like a TV star in those days, I was like a rock ’n’ roll star,” Carradine said in an interview with Associated Press Radio in 1996. “It was a phenomenon kind of thing. … It was very special.” The Cape Cod director who worked with David Carradine on one of his last films yesterday said the “Kung Fu” actor seemed “normal and upbeat” when he spoke to him a week and a half ago - and he does not believe that Carradine committed suicide. “It has to be foul play or an accident,” said Dan Adams, who directed the “Kill Bill” star in the 2008 flick “The Golden Boys.” “It’s out of the question, as far as I’m concerned.” Carradine, 72, was found naked and hanging from a rope in the closet of his luxury Bangkok hotel room Thursday, Thai police said. There was no sign of other people in the room and no sign of assault.

Ryan Reynolds’ manhood “popped out” while shooting his new movie. The actor - who is married to Scarlett Johansson - was jumping around nude on the set of ‘The Proposal’ during a steamy scene with co-star Sandra Bullock and exposed his genitals to the entire cast and crew. He is quoted as saying: “You know you’ve made a bad move, because you don’t normally combine nudity with stunts. This isn’t like Cirque de Soleil porn. It’s a movie. You have these scenes where you slam into each other. You fall on to the ground and I would always know that something popped out wrong because the cameraman would go, ‘Oh, Oh!’ “ Ryan spent so many hours filming naked sex scenes he soon grew used to the crew seeing his private parts and decided to remove the cover they had given him to protect his modesty. He explained: “By hour four I had abandoned the fig leaf or whatever the hell they gave me and I was just throwing caution - and other things - to the wind.”
