The little girl known as DJ Tanner on Full House is truly all grown up, and she’s taking over television once more. Candace Cameron Bure has been slated for a role on ABC Family’s new drama Make It or Break It. The new series revolves on the competitive lives of aspiring young gymnasts who are struggling to make it through to the Olympics. Even though audiences of Make It or Break It are probably too young to remember the star of the 1990s hit show, they might as well get used to her. Candace Cameron Bure booked the role of Summer on the new series, playing a stepmother to one of the female gymnasts. While there hasn’t been any update regarding which among the cast is her stepdaughter, it seems as though the series will be a big step for the star. Though her credentials are limited to her role on Full House, it’s still a commendable feat. Bure was able to snag a number of nominations for the role she played growing up, from a Young Artist Award to a TV Land Award. It was in 1994 that she finally won one for playing DJ Tanner - a Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Award for Favorite Television Actress. Her participation on this year’s Make It or Break It would really add to her fame, or at least get her enough attention from her fans. Full House was indeed the highest point of the actress’ career, but she has also been seen on a number of other shows. She debuted with a small role in the series Alice, before making a name for herself as the character Megan White on St. Elsewhere. She was also cast in Punky Brewster and Growing Pains, as well as on Bill Nye the Science Guy. When Full House wrapped up in 1995, Bure took on roles in Cybill and Boy Meets World. She then appeared on That’s So Raven before accepting the part in Make It or Break It in 2009. Joining Bure on Make It or Break It are Cassie Scerbo, Peri Gilpin, Susan Ward, Chelsea Hobbs, Rosa Blasi, Ayla Kell, Josie Loren and Zachary Burr Abel. Those who are feeling nostalgic should catch Candace Cameron Bure on the small screen when the ABC Family series airs on June 22.

The 14th chapter of the popular Final Fantasy role-playing series is due out next year. Unlike Final Fantasy XIII, which is also slated for a 2010 release, XIV will be a Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG). Videogame company Square Enix has not released details about Final Fantasy XIV, but a trailer of the game was shown Tuesday at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles. Subsequently, Square Enix launched a teaser site for the game, where fans can watch the video. Final Fantasy XIV appears to take place in medieval times including Chocobos and airships, similar to the setting in Final Fantasy XII. Square Enix’s first online Final Fantasy title was Final Fantasy XI, which was available for Windows PCs, PlayStation 2 and Xbox 360. Final Fantasy XIV will be available for the PlayStation 3 and Windows PCs.

With the exception of a former colleague who defrauded its writing staff out of at least $20,000, there’s no one that enrages The Hollywood Gossip more than Spencer Pratt. Similar to Paris Hilton, the guy is famous almost strictly by association, boasting absolutely no redeeming qualities and contributing nothing to society, yet seemingly parlaying that into fame and a rather lucrative career. She’s hot… even before the fake boobs. Spencer has reportedly been negged from every hot club in Greater L.A., except Area, where girlfriend Heidi pulls stings to get him in. Heidi Montag works (as Hills fans may recall) for Brent Bolthouse, who’s the promoter of the venue. Spencer Pratt’s father is a famous L.A. dentist. Hey, those guys make a hell of a lot of money. He has a cameo in Kevin Federline’s new video. However, we aren’t sure which video it is. Spencer’s quote-unquote management company, Innovator Management, has about four clients, though it’s tough to tell as most of Pratt’s “companies” have MySpace pages without any other Web presence. — The clients of this “company” are, shockingly, Brody Jenner, Heidi Montag (who is recording an album soon under Spencer’s guidance - should be a dandy), David Foster and The Princes of Malibu DVD. Spencer is Vice President of Archangel L.A., a company which appears to make silver jewelry that retails at two stores in Los Angeles. The goods are not yet available for purchase (or look at) online. The reality TV star also has his (slimy) hands in the music biz, working for 143 Records (David Foster’s label for Atlantic), and the nebulous Precise Music Group, which has one artist, YaBoy, a rapper on the L.A. underground scene. Spencer Pratt and Brody Jenner are both “VPs of 310 Creative,” a company that animates Web graphics and designs celebrity websites. Among the “clients” are Nicole Richie, David Foster, Ya Boy, and Korn.

Elvis Costello will be performing in Vancouver at Malkin Bowl with his latest band, The Sugarcanes, on August 24. Newfoundland’s Great Big Sea play a two-night stand at the same Stanley Park venue, Sept. 11 and 12. And Britian’s Moody Blues perform at the Centre for Performing Arts, July 30. Elvis Costello’s new album Secret, Profane & Sugarcane was produced by T Bone Burnett and features top musicians in traditional American country music. The album includes two songs co-written with Burnett, while, “I Felt The Chill” marks Costello’s second songwriting collaboration with Loretta Lynn. Costello revisits two songs from his catalogue in string band style — both originally written for Johnny Cash. In 2008, The Moody Blues re-released their first seven albums, containing the band’s chart-topping singles of the ’60s and ’70s. Each re-release features bonus tracks, radio sessions and outtakes. For Great Big Sea’s ninth album Fortune’s Favour, the band made the surprise choice to work with Hawksley Workman. “We wanted to push ourselves, to be surprised by our own music,” said Hallett, “and Hawksley was the right pilot for the flight…or the fight, depending on the circumstances.” In their quest to marry the traditional music of Newfoundland with their own pop explorations, Fortune’s Favour’ embraces new sounds and new ideas, the bands says. Tickets for all three concerts go on sale Friday at all Ticketmaster outlets.

Eminem was mum Monday night about the MTV Movie Awards incident with Sacha Baron Cohen. FULL MOON: The plop thickens for Sacha Baron Cohen and ‘Bruno’ The rapper, performing at a private concert to celebrate the launch of the DJ Hero video game, said nothing from the stage about the incident in which Cohen, dressed in character as Bruno, a flamboyant fashion reporter, dropped down on the rapper’s face, exposing his bare bottom. Of course the litany of celebrities who were in attendance (Leonardo DiCaprio, Usher, Kim Kardashian and Tobey Maguire) couldn’t stop chatting — or giggling — about the spectacle that had everyone wondering — staged or not? “This is like the new Britney,” joked Pete Wentz before the concert. “I would not put my (butt) in Eminem’s face. Seriously, I would not want Sacha Baron Cohen’s (butt) in my face. I know that much.” Wentz and Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus joked that they were considering wearing feathers and thongs to the concert, but feared retaliation. Actor Tyrese Gibson, who sat in the row behind Eminem at the MTV awards, said that he saved a few feathers that he was able to grab off of Cohen. “That was crazy! I don’t know what’s going on with that whole situation, but I tried my best to help dude get off of Eminem,” Gibson said. “But yo, that was crazy. That was a bit much. That was nuts!” Actress Taraji P. Henson, who helped introduce Eminem’s performance at the movie awards, said it had to be a skit . “That was staged! Do you really think it wasn’t? They would not put a man’s naked (butt) in Eminem’s face and not let him know. Come on! They’re not stupid,” she said. “When something crazy didn’t jump off, I was like, ‘Oh, OK! He knew!’ “ Comedian Aisha Tyler said staged or not, the incident gave people something to laugh about. “I don’t want to be a hater, because I love Sacha Baron Cohen, but this was already done by Howard Stern. He did this like, 10 years ago, at the movie awards. Sasha does have a nicer butt than Howard, though,” she laughed. “But I think it was probably a stunt, and that’s OK. Hollywood is about theater. We’re so jaded in this town, so anytime people get us talking, it’s a good thing.” DJ AM, who performed with Travis Barker (”I don’t know if the Eminem thing was staged,” Barker said) before Jay-Z and Eminem took the stage, said that he missed the live show, but saw highlights and couldn’t believe what he saw. “That was kind of crazy,” he said.

Might Vincent Chase suddenly not be the best looking person in his Entourage? Sources confirm that Zac Efron has landed a guest-starring role on the hit HBO series. No word yet on the exact role Efron will play, but the show is known for depicting celebrities simply as themselves. “He was filming a scene and talking on his cell phone,” said an onlooker near the Beverly Hills Niketown store, where Efron was being filmed. “None of the other Entourage cast was here.
