Zac Efron reveals his ‘Footloose’ plans after ‘High School Musical 3′
Posted in: Celebrity News by Jason Halliwell on November 28, 2024
Zac Efron is said to be looking for a mid-seven-figure salary and script approval before signing a contract with the filmmakers.
“There’s a lot of wrong ways to do this movie,” the Daily Telegraph quoted Efron as telling Variety magazine.
“It’s a matter of finding the right balance. Until we find it, I can’t fully …” he paused trying to find a word.
“… I can’t finish that sentence,” he said abruptly.
As the conversation moved on to the next topic, he finally finds the word.
“Commit. Until I fully commit,” he stated.
Even though Efron at times may say what he wants, he somehow seems to catch himself and revert back to his script. But Ortega is confident that the actor will do very well with the new role.
“Its like life imitating the movies - suddenly (the cast) has come of age as young people. The light of the future is shining brightly into their eyes, begging them to make decisions that will impact on the rest of their lives,” Ortega said.
“I see the characters and the actors as having arrived in the same place at the same time.
“But I have great confidence in them, their families and the teams they have around them, that they’re going to make good choices. They are all wise beyond their years. They have a sense of humour. They’re sensible, humbled by the attention. They’re going to do good,” he added.

About Cheap Trick
Posted in: Bios, Buzz Bands by Jason Halliwell on November 28, 2024
The enduring, hard-touring, and self-caricaturing rock group Cheap Trick worked its way up to platinum sales with a blend of Beatles-style pop, hard rock chops, and a cartoonish stage act, which played Rick Nielsen’s exaggerated mugging and guitar gymnastics against Robin Zander’s teen-idol looks and rich, powerful voice.
In 1961 Nielsen, then in his teens, began playing locally in Rockford, Illinois, utilizing his ever-increasing collection of rare and valuable guitars. His band, the Phaetons, became the Boyz, then the Grim Reapers, and finally Fuse in 1967 with the addition of bassist Tom Petersson. One album for Epic in 1968 was generally ignored. Frustrated, Fuse, which by then included college dropout Bun E. Carlos on drums, moved to Philadelphia in 1971. As Sick Man of Europe, they enlisted ex-Nazz vocalist Robert “Stewkey” Antoni, but the group soon disbanded. After (more…)

On-the-Set Featurette of ‘Marley and Me’ Arrives
Posted in: Film, Uncategorized by Jason Halliwell on November 28, 2024
Jennifer Aniston, Owen Wilson and director David Frankel talk about the world’s worst dog who teaches his owner how to become a family through a new featurette of ‘Marley and Me’.
About a month before “Marley & Me” hits the theaters, a featurette of the comedy movie has been released. Bringing viewers to the on-set location of the film, the video contains commentary from both of the film’s stars, Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson. It also sees the description of the film by director David Frankel.
While Aniston shares her exciting experiences working with baby, any kinds of dogs and kids, dubbing the experiences as “a ball”, Wilson reveals that the filming has been great, especially since he grew up having a dog. Beside discussing about the fun of making the film, Aniston also talks about the Marley character itself. The featurette also brings in many never-before-seen footage from the film.
Adapted from John Grogan’s bestselling memoir about an incorrigible Labrador retriever, “Marley & Me” focuses on the relationship between John and his mad Labrador retriever, Marley. However, Marley proves to be unlike any other dog on Earth. He is hyperactive, handful and wreaking havoc, yet becomes an indispensable part of his family. From the director of “The Devil Wears Prada”, the movie is set to be released in U.S. theaters on December 25.
